It’s Time to Embrace It So We Can Face It

I now embrace the growing feelings that come up when my “inner impostor” gets uncomfortable.  My intelligent self-knows that I can FOOL ANYBODY.

I can be the biggest impostor there is. The only problem with hanging on to that belief is you can only play a role for so long.

I am embracing the impostor inside me because I want her to know that she is truly loved, accepted and cherished.

Flipping the impostor syndrome upside down has allowed me to TRUST God and empowered me to SOAR like never before.

The impostor inside of you also needs to be reminded of God’s unconditional love.

Those doubts about not being good enough, talented enough and smart enough are only indications that you are challenging yourself!

You are going outside of your comfort zone, and that is going to make you feel uncomfortable. And that is a good thing! It means you are growing your character and faith. It’s ok to feel afraid. We all do when we hit the proverbial wall. That wall though will bring you to your knees because God wants to show up in your life as you’ve never known. If you are like me, it might take surrendering not your deepest desires but those lurking fears that have held you back your whole life. It’s ok. God’s got you! Perfect love drives out fear, and we need to lean on this truth!

I love how 1 John 4:18 reminds us that we are on a life-long journey.

I am on my way. And so are you!

Remember How She Played

The impostor is that child inside of you who won’t let you give up on your dreams!

The impostor is the courageous one! I know, I thought my Brave-self was the one who had it all together.

You might think so too. I mean, we’re human, right? Yes and no. As vibrant children of God, our born-again spirits RISE to the truth of who we are in Christ.

How does this happen?  We acknowledge that the very breath we take is His and His alone.

4 “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in me.” John 15:4 (NCV)

He gives us the desires of our hearts. The impostor needs to be acknowledged and loved for the bold faith and courage she displays on bended knee every day. THIS compassion is what ignites her tiny flicker of hope and begins to see the path God has for her.

The impostor says, “I don’t know HOW Lord but I trust in You.”

She wonders, “How long before I reach that next goal?” God lovingly assures her, “Never will I leave you, nor forsake you.”

Do You See How Brave She Is?

She says, “I don’t care how long it takes, but I will become the woman God created me to be.”

She has an unshakeable faith in the woman she is becoming.

She believes what God says and trusts the direction He is taking her.

Some people may think she’s crazy and she might even question herself. And you know what? That’s okay.

He understands our weaknesses and asks us to leave them at His feet.

"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

He is a LOVING Heavenly Father.

He wants to not only mend every broken part of your precious spirit but He wants to give you a new song in your heart.

He wants you to surrender all that you are to Him.

Especially your broken pieces.

Grab hold of His Grace for you!

By Grace, we have been saved.

By Grace, you are chosen and have been set apart.

By Grace, you are the woman you are today.

Every blessing of yours is from above.

Rest in this truth.

You and I have a blank slate ahead of us.

Never in history have we needed each other more to come together to spread the love of Christ.

Rest in His love.

Choose Joy.

Choose compassion.

Have faith that together we can be the light that will shine forth in our families, communities and this ever-connected world.

I choose to embrace the impostor syndrome, and I invite you to as well.

As we do, we will find higher ways of overcoming any wall or obstacle that will indeed come up.
